I know I’ve disappeared from this space for quite some time without any proper anything. Good news is that my Major Project Presentation is over, so that’s one hugeass burden off my shoulders. Of course eight hours later the timetable for our termtests was released, kinda popped my bubble. Okay I rephrase, it stabbed my bubble so I woke up again to reality. Major Project > Major Project Report >Assignments and projects due before termtests > Termtests > A short holiday with deadlines after the holiday > School again. It’s funny how poly life turns out to be nothing you expected, so much for stress free (pui).
Here’s some happier photos from winning a Silver for this year’s POL-ITE. HIP HIP HOO-EFFING-RAY! :B
Following pictures are going to be hilarious because I’m decked out (totally wrong usage of the phrase because the uniform isn’t pretty at all) in my uniform for the presentation. Not my idea, I wouldn’t do anything as ridiculous as this. Everyone was pretty much in the stress-free mood, which explains the happy smiles of course!
I’m pretty chill about the presentation and my results because the course manager sat in during the presentation, and according to others, that means you either got a distinction or an A. So yessssss, I hope that still stands but then again we screwed up the Q&A quite a bit, so crossed fingers till all the results are out! It would really suck if you realize how close you were to tasting an A/distinction, only to have to striked off because of five pathetic minutes of questions. Okay except for mine it wasn’t five because it was an interrogation. I swear, not exaggerating, all they were missing was a tablelamp to shine in your face.
Anyway, it’s scary how quickly this important deadline has come and passed. Not scary because it represents a huge part of my results for this semester. But in the sense that now that it’s over, I have so much lesser to look forward to. There’s hardly time with the hockey people anymore because our schedule clashes, and all of us are busy with school. Assignments, projects and schoolwork would take up my days once again, and then what else is left? Sooner or later, this entire semester would be over and done with and bam, you’ve graduated. That’s what is scary, knowing that your three years here have flashed by, you’re going to move on, other people are going to move on to bigger things. Then we all have to start all over again, meeting new people/ awkward small talk/ first impressions. I don’t know how I’d ever leave all this behind. But all I can ever do now really, is to just deal with the increasing workload and pretend that I don’t feel like there’s a real deadline to friendship and whatever comes along with this three years. Sigh :(
Tzuming’s ridiculously cute cats chillaxing while the boys tried desperately to show their inborn talent for manly chores, aka drilling a hole in the wall to hang a painting. We had spaghetti+soup, watched some football and The Change Up (I fell asleep). Oh, they also had some kinda fashion show with their new clothes. It was heaps of funnnnnn, especially with cute cats that allow you to cuddle them for like ten seconds :B
BYE, I'm going to go for my highlights now! I'm doing something totally insane with my hair. Watch this space!
